Pigeon Forge sparkles with more than 12 million twinkling lights during Winterfest, an annual celebration of the holiday season in the Smoky Mountains! While you’ll be able to see the magnificent light displays virtually anywhere you travel along the Parkway, there are a few special destinations that you definitely won’t want to miss! Therefore, get your favorite holiday music ready, gather the family into the car, and check out these top 4 places to see the Pigeon Forge Christmas lights:

1. Patriot Park

The grouping includes a paddlewheel-driven riverboat, the rolling waves of From Sea to Shining Sea, and a multi-display salute to America’s Armed Forces, complete with the flag being raised at Iwo Jima. This lovely park is also the perfect place to stretch your legs while cruising up and down the Parkway, as you’ll find a half-mile walking trail that provides a variety of excellent vantage points for viewing the lights!

2. Wonders of Light Walking Trail

Another one of the top places to see the Pigeon Forge Christmas lights is the Wonders of Light Walking Trail, which offers a stunning $1.5 million collection of lights along the Riverwalk Greenway! Take a leisurely stroll along the Riverwalk to see more than 20 amazing holiday lights on display, including walk-thru arches, a colorful 52-foot-long caterpillar, larger-than-life flowers, vibrant snowflakes, shooting stars, and a 20-foot-tall ice fountain that lights the way! You can access the Wonders of Light Walking Trail from the parking lot next to the LeConte Center.

3. Winter Wonderland Bridges

Twinkling icicles “drip” from the top of the bridges, which are surrounded by towering 35-foot-tall trees. You’ll find these bridges at the intersections with Wears Valley Road, Jake Thomas Boulevard, Old Mill Avenue, and Dollywood Lane.

4. Teaster Lane

While everyone is familiar with the Parkway, you won’t want to miss all of the Pigeon Forge Christmas lights that are located on Teaster Lane between Wears Valley Road and Dollywood Lane! The north end of Teaster Lane features the Old Mill scene, where over 6,000 lights animate a spinning water wheel and a flowing river in homage to one of the city’s oldest and most iconic businesses! This road also features several Fairytale Fantasy scenes where you can see giant animated displays such as Hey Diddle Diddle’s Cat and the Fiddle, Hickory Dickory Dock, Humpty Dumpty, and All The Kings Horses And All The King’s Men! Finally, look for the fun tribute to the Pigeon Forge Fun Time Trolley on the corner of Veteran’s Boulevard and Teaster Lane!
